Raumkontor is a transdisciplinary team of interior architects, architects, scenographers, and media designers. Thanks to the team’s broad range of expertise and a well-established network of cooperation partners, the project spectrum is highly diverse. We design hotels and restaurants, create offices, shops, practices, and clinics. We develop scenographic concepts and provide consulting as art consultants.
For private clients, we design individual furniture pieces and spatial areas such as kitchens and bathrooms – but of course, we also conceive holistic interiors for houses and apartments. Necessary architectural measures during conversions and renovations are naturally also supervised by us. For every project, raumkontor develops independent design solutions tailored to the client and project situation. Through the interplay of architecture, interior architecture, and design, holistic spatial concepts are created.
Clear and distinctive guiding ideas, a calm design language, sensitivity in the choice of materials and colors, and innovative functional structures ensure long-term and sustainable project quality. We take responsibility for a project – from the creative design stage through technical planning to construction management. This also includes budget-compliant implementation and on-time completion.
The office raumkontor was founded in 1993 by Dipl. Ing. Andrea Weitz and Prof. Jens Wendland. Both are interior architects (certified engineers) and members of the Chamber of Architects NW.
Raumkontor stands for the “other” in spaces and in things – for the essential difference that creates character without being intrusive. We are designers. Through us, things become different.
